Summary: Pred eksperimentom smo napovedali odziv armiranobetonske stene na zaporedje treh potresov. Pri tem smo uporabili razmeroma preprost model stene z več vertikalnimi vzmetmi. Kasneje smo napoved primerjali z eksperimentalnimi rezultati in ugotovili dobro ujemanje. V članku podajamo analizo vseh problemov in dilem pri vnaprejšnjem modeliranju. Zaključimo z ugotovitvijo, da je prav preprostost modela, povezana s fizikalno razumljivostjo in obvladljivostjo, pripomogla k uspešnosti računskega modeliranja

The response of a reinforced concrete structural wall to a sequence of three earthquakes was predicted in advance to the experiment. Relatively simple mathematical model with multiple vertical springs was used. Good correlation of numerical and experimental results was observed. Some problems and dilemmas of the mathematical modelling in advance to the test are discussed. The conclusion is, that relative simplicity of the model, which enables physical understanding and control, contributed to the successful mathematical modelling
